What are the main components of high-strength industrial polyester yarn

2023-09-02

High-strength polyester fiber is a fiber made from purified terephthalic acid (PTA) or dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) and ethylene glycol (EG) through esterification or transesterification and polycondensation reaction. The fiber is made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) after spinning and post-treatment.

Polyester industrial yarn refers to high-strength, coarse denier polyester industrial filament with a size of not less than 550 dtex. According to its properties, it can be divided into high strength and low elongation type (common standard type), high modulus and low shrinkage type, high strength and low shrinkage type, and active type. Among them, the high modulus and low shrinkage polyester industrial yarn has the tendency to gradually replace the ordinary standard polyester industrial yarn in tires and mechanical rubber products due to its excellent properties such as high breaking strength, high elastic modulus, low elongation and good impact resistance; High-strength low-elongation polyester industrial yarn has the characteristics of high strength, low elongation, high modulus and high dry heat shrinkage. At present, it is mainly used for tire cord and conveyor belt, canvas warp line, vehicle safety belt and conveyor belt; Due to the small shrinkage after heating, the high-strength and low-shrinkage polyester industrial yarn has good dimensional stability and thermal stability, can absorb impact load, and has the characteristics of nylon softness. It is mainly used for coating fabrics (advertising light box cloth, etc.), conveyor belt weft, etc; Reactive polyester industrial yarn is a new type of industrial yarn. It has good affinity with rubber and PVC, which can simplify the subsequent processing process and greatly improve the quality of products.
