What is the use of polyester industrial yarn?

2023-10-12

High-strength and low-elongation products, as well as some low-shrinkage products, polyester industrial yarns are mainly used in tire cords, mining conveyor belts, transmission V-belts, lifting belts, PVC-coated fabrics, fire hoses, hoses, etc.

The main use of existing products: The original intention of developing polyester industrial yarn is to use polyester to replace rayon, nylon 6, nylon 66, etc. as reinforcing skeleton materials for rubber products. These products include radial tire cord fabric, rubber conveyor belt cord fabric, V-belts, transmission belt cords, rubber hose cords and cord fabrics, etc.

Ordinary radial tire cord standard (ordinary type) polyester industrial filament, also known as high-strength and low-elongation series. Its important characteristics are low elongation and high thermal shrinkage. Typical variety specifications.

Cord fabrics woven from this type of polyester industrial yarn have the characteristics of small load elongation, but the dry heat shrinkage rate is relatively high. Therefore, when using this type of cord fabric to make tires, the concavity phenomenon at the cord joints is obvious. The vulcanized Jinshan oil chemical fiber varieties have specifications for elongation, dry heat shrinkage, and constant load elongation. They must then be inflated and set, and can only be vulcanized at room temperature. The vulcanization time is long, the waste tire rate is high, the production efficiency is low, the grade of the finished tire is low, and it cannot meet the requirements of high-performance radial tires.
